This adorable little man could not have been any better for his photo shoot!

We got loads of smiles from him, even through a couple of costume changes. And when he’d had enough, he simply closed his eyes. That didn’t stop us from getting some final shots in!

I’m lovin the love in this one!

Because one day just isn’t enough……..

The first 3 people to contact me and tell me where I enjoyed a beautiDSC_6764_2ful  Mother’s Day lunch, will receive a free photo sitting (valid June,July 2009).

dsc_0075_2wtmk1When photographing young children, there is often a temptation to jump in and get the shots before they move on or the moment is gone. But it is sometimes better to just lower the lens, step back and watch your subject reveal a whole new side. This requires patience, but the results will speak for themselves.

dsc_2774Last week I was commissioned to do a job in Upper Plenty, a region devastated in the Black Saturday bush fires. It was a completely sobering experience driving into the once a beautiful landscape, but which now can aptly be described as a disaster zone. There, I met a young family who have lost everything except the most important thing and that is each other. With a new baby in their arms, and the forest already starting to renew itself, it was good to note that life prevails.dsc_2819_2wtmk

I have recently come across a great service that I have to recommend to any parent, grandparent, baby-sitters or other minders of children. It’s run by a local Mum (another Michelle) who is an ex-paramedic and who now runs a small business teaching short first-aid courses. I went along, and can confirm that they are professional and well presented. The fact that I could get my CPR skills etc updated in a few short hours and little cost, at a time and location that suited me was a real plus. Check it out at www.littleaid.com.au

This gorgeous couple were married last month here in Mt Eliza, here are a few of my favorite shots.dsc_0708wtmk1

I’m on a mission to get this blog started. Mia was off to a fairy party yesterday……I couldn’t resist the perfect opportunity to get a couple of shots of her at this brief but cute stage. This is the result.

This is my first blog entry……the pressure for it to be good is almost off-putting! This local spot is a fantastic location for winter photos and we had huge fun chasing each other around here on Zoe’s birthday.
